Postgrad Show UCA Masters
August 2024
Whilst I wait for my Master of Arts results, I took part in our Post Grad Exhibition at the James Hockey Gallery, UCA, Farnham. What a wonderful experience! The Private View was very busy and there were lots of interested people wanting to discuss my work, something I’m not used to but rather enjoyed. Whilst invigilating, I got to spend time admiring and discussing the work of my peers as I showed visitors around. The scale of the works varied from ceramics taking up almost the full height of the gallery, down to pieces as small as a single bird bone. We’re dismantling the exhibition tomorrow, and I’ll be considering the next adventure.
Artist in Residence University for the Creative Arts
Artist in Residence - Jewellery at UCA, Farnham.
Exciting news! I am thrilled to have been awarded the position of Artist in Residence for Jewellery at UCA, for one year commencing on 23rd September 2024. I will be based in the jewellery workshop on Farnham campus.
For a full 12 months, I will have the chance to develop my own work and to access the full resources available on campus. I’ll also be working with students, running workshops and sharing my knowledge and experiences where I can. I’m so excited to be involved, and honestly can’t wait to get started. It will be wonderful to spend self guided time experimenting and pushing my designs as well as technical skills further, but I’m just as excited to be spending time with a diverse group of jewellery students.
